How to get the tag server URL for GTM

After you create the container, Google Tag Manager needs to know where that container is hosted. You enter that in the URL do servidor de tags (Server container URL) field.

Where the URL comes from

Copy the URL shown on the container page in the AdPulse dashboard and in the integration instructions displayed right after creation. It is the correct source — typing it from memory is the most common way to get it wrong.

On the shared hostname, the format is:

https://cdn.turbo-ssl.com/c<id>/

where <id> is your container number. For example, container 42 lives at https://cdn.turbo-ssl.com/c42/.

The path is part of the URL

The /c42/ in the middle is not optional: it is what identifies your container inside the shared server. Removing or changing that part makes the request land on another container or on an error.

Step by step

  1. In the AdPulse dashboard, open Server GTM → Contêineres and click the container.
  2. Copy the URL do servidor shown on the page.
  3. In Google Tag Manager, open Administração → Configurações do contêiner.
  4. Paste the URL into the URL do servidor de tags (Server container URL) field.
  5. Click Salvar.
  6. Click Visualizar in GTM to confirm that the server responds.

If the server is up, preview mode opens without a connection error.

Using a custom domain instead

If you have already connected a custom domain and its status is Ativo, you can use it as the tag server URL.

The difference is that on the custom domain the container is served at the root, without the /c<id>/ part:

https://trk.seusite.com.br/

Both addresses point to the same container. Pick one of them and always use the same one.

Only after the Ativo status

While the domain is Pendente or Verificando, the hostname does not answer yet. Only set the server URL once the status turns Ativo.

Tag server preview

Tag preview and debugging use the preview server, which is a separate service from your container. If preview mode does not open even with the correct URL, the problem is usually in the preview and not in the server URL.

Troubleshooting

Situation What it means What to do
GTM does not connect to the server The URL is wrong or the container is not Ativo yet. Copy the URL again from the container page and confirm the status.
404 error when opening the URL The /c<id>/ path does not match the container. Confirm that you copied the whole URL, including the trailing slash.
"This server container URL is already in use" Another container in GTM already uses that URL. Check that you pasted the URL of the right container.
The URL works but preview mode does not open The problem is in the preview server, not in the URL. Check that the container is Ativo and try again in a few moments.
You switched to a custom domain and GTM stopped working The URL in GTM still points to the old hostname. Update the URL do servidor de tags field with the new hostname.
You copied the URL before provisioning finished The container was still Provisionando. Wait for the Ativo status and copy the URL again.
