How to connect a custom domain

By default your container is served by the platform's shared hostname. Connecting a custom domain makes the tag server answer on your own hostname — for example, trk.seusite.com.br.

The CDN of your domain

When you use a custom domain, traffic goes through the network of your own DNS provider. The AdPulse global CDN applies to the shared hostname, not to domains you point yourself.

Prerequisites

  • A container already created in the AdPulse dashboard.
  • A plan that includes the custom-domain feature. Without it, the dashboard replies: "Conectar domínios personalizados exige um plano que inclua o recurso."
  • A subdomain in your DNS. The root domain is not supported — the record is a CNAME, and a CNAME is illegal at the top of a zone.

Choose a hostname that will not get blocked

Before creating the record, pick a subdomain that ad blockers do not usually recognize. It is the difference between the domain working and being discarded in the visitor's browser.

Step by step

  1. Open Server GTM → Contêineres and click the container.
  2. In the Domínio personalizado section, click Conectar domínio.
  3. Enter the hostname, for example trk.seusite.com.br.
  4. Choose one of the two paths below.
  5. When the DNS is ready, click Já configurei.

Path 1 — provider with Domain Connect

If your DNS provider takes part in the Domain Connect standard, the dashboard shows the Conectar provedor DNS button. It opens your provider's screen with the record already set up; you just authorize it and come back.

Not every provider supports the standard — and some support only part of it. When the dashboard does not show this button, follow the manual path.

Path 2 — manual CNAME

The dashboard shows the exact table of the record to create:

  1. Copy the values into your DNS provider's dashboard.
  2. Click Já configurei. If your provider has a control panel available, the Abrir painel do provedor button takes you straight there.

The Name field takes only the subdomain

On most providers, the Name or Host field takes only trk — not the whole trk.seusite.com.br. Providers that ask for the FQDN fill in the rest themselves.

What happens next

Status What it means What to do
Pendente The hostname has been registered and the provider is being identified. Wait.
Verificando The DNS is being checked. Do nothing — propagation can take a while.
Ativo The CNAME has been confirmed and the hostname already serves the container. Nothing to do.
Falhou Verification gave up. The message says why. Fix the DNS and click verify again.
Desativado The domain was disconnected by you. Reconnect it if you need to.

Pendente and Verificando are not errors

DNS propagation is slow by nature and varies a lot between registrars. The checker keeps watching for 48 hours before declaring failure. If the status is Falhou after that window, the message will say the DNS was not confirmed and point to the correct CNAME value.

Limitations

  • Subdomain required — the root domain does not accept a CNAME.
  • One active domain per container on standard plans. To connect several, you need a plan that includes multiple domains.
  • AdPulse domains are refused — names under adpulse.com.br, turbo-ssl.com and localhost cannot be connected.

Disconnecting a domain

In the Domínio personalizado section, click Excluir domínio and confirm. The route stops existing immediately; the container keeps working on the shared hostname.

Troubleshooting

Situation What it means What to do
"Informe um hostname, por exemplo trk.seusite.com.br." The field is empty. Type the full hostname, including the subdomain.
Warning "Informe um subdomínio antes do domínio" You typed the root domain. Use a subdomain, like trk.seusite.com.br.
"Use um nome de domínio, não um endereço IP." An IP address was entered. Use a hostname, not an address.
"O domínio X pertence à AdPulse e não pode ser conectado." The hostname is under a reserved domain. Choose a hostname on a domain you own.
"O domínio X já está conectado a este contêiner." That hostname is already active here. Use another hostname or delete the existing link.
"Conectar domínios personalizados exige um plano que inclua o recurso." The current plan does not include the feature. Contact support about the right plan.
Stays in Verificando for a long time The DNS has not propagated yet or the record is wrong. Confirm with your provider that the CNAME points to cdn.turbo-ssl.com.
"O DNS não foi confirmado em 48 horas" The verification window expired. Fix the record and click verify again.
The hostname answers with an infinite redirect error The hostname is behind a proxy with SSL in Flexible mode. In your provider's dashboard, use Full (strict) or turn the proxy off.
The domain went Falhou and then started working again The DNS started answering after the deactivation. Reconnect the domain from the dashboard.

Routing chain

The CNAME record points to cdn.turbo-ssl.com, which is the platform's official domain-connect destination. Do not swap it for a direct IP: the IP changes and your record would break.
